I spent time this week shuffling file folders and stories. With the research I’ve done the last three weeks for a couple of clients, my jotted notes had my attention turning toward a training I completed 27 years ago. It’s interesting that not much has changed in that field. As my focus swiveled from one project to the next, I took a moment to do a little reflection. Where have I had success, even after redefining what success means to me?
One rabbit hole led to another. I ended up reviewing my Clifton Strengths and Enneagram number. Down yet another path, all in the search for clarity, peace, joy. But it’s not that easy, is it? I found an interesting article about how to be a high performer vs. a high achiever. Instead of looking forward at all that I haven’t done, I can look behind me at all that I have accomplished. A different view of where I am and where I might go from here.
Not a full moon, or a new moon, and Mercury isn’t in retrograde, but a shift in relationships and at my paid gig I think all swelled to give me a chance to have a change in perspective. I’m not sure what that perspective is yet. And I don’t know which direction is best, but I like that I have ideas.
I have a quick update on the anthology. We’re moving forward! All stories have been written, edited by the writer after feedback, and revised editions have been sent. Those, of course, have been edited again. By the end of the weekend, all should be in one Word doc to be sent to the beta reader. At that time, details will be given to the cover designer. In looking back over the year since we started on the anthology, we’ve come a long way. It’s almost time to celebrate.
