Cover Reveal

Posted On March 22, 2024

This is the part of publishing books that builds my excitement and pushes me to finish everything so I can hit the “publish” button. I love revealing the cover to readers. No matter what we think, we really do judge a book by its cover! A couple holding hands points to romance. Snow and storm clouds predict the time of year. Water and a rocky shoreline hint at the setting (in this case, an island). Preorders are open on my website. Here’s the description:

What happens when a tropical storm and a kidnapping take place on an island days before Christmas?

Tyler Henderson, owner of top-ranked Henderson Security, accepts a job to retrieve information about diamond thefts from a mine in Russia. When he goes undercover, he doesn’t expect events to spiral out of his control. And not just the job, but his attraction to Mia.

Excited to be in the field as her boss’s partner, Mia Rogers plans to soak up the island sun, buy souvenirs, and help Tyler finish the job before heading home for the holiday. Having her secret discovered, and then forced into a dangerous situation, is not how she envisioned her first assignment.

Tyler battles the weather and Russian criminals to save Mia. Will they be reunited to have a happy holiday?

I’m almost done with the edits from the beta reader. I have a few things to add to the story. The rest of the interior is done. I thought I could publish by April 1, but picked April 15 to end the preorder. In reality, the title will go live when I send my monthly newsletter. This holiday short story grew into a novella, and I think readers will enjoy the extended version of Tyler and Mia’s adventure.

I have a few other projects I’m working on, but FG is the priority. I’m adjusting to a different schedule. It’s exciting to squeeze in a page of writing during a busy day. Once I finish one other project, I’m looking forward to starting on book 3 in a one of my series. And I won’t forget to have little celebrations along the way. What kind of books do you like to read? Do you ever choose a book just because you like the cover?
