There is much that can be studied within the spiritual path of yoga. These first three cards contain a few of the tools and techniques of yoga that, if practiced and applied, help the student life a more happy life. Card 1 contains the Yamas (ahimsa, satya, asteya, brahmacharya, and aparigraha) on one side and the Niyamas (saucha, santosha, tapas, swadhyaya, and ishvana prahidhana) on the other, including definitions and examples. Card 2 lists the Eight-Limbed Path of Patanjali (yamas, niyamas, asana, pranayama, pratyara, dharana, dhyana, and smadhi), with examples and suggestions. And Card 3 outlines six practices of pranayama (yogic breath, kapalabhati, ujiyi, nodi shodhana, anulum viloma, and bhramari) with brief instructions on how to practice each. The Cards are laminated with a longer tab on one side should the user wish to attach a ring and/or lanyard to keep the cards together or make them easier to locate in a purse, car, or on a table. With dimensions of 2 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches, they are small enough to be carried and used as reminders when situations arise that offer a chance to utilize these tools.
