The second audiobook, Of Hoof Prints and Heartbeats, is done! It has been approved and uploaded and is ready for purchase on all retailers (as soon as the retailers approve it), including my website (already approved!). One more to go in the trilogy!

I’m finished with all the edits on the nonfiction, Building Fluency: Advanced Number Sense… just waiting for one last beta reader to peruse the pages and circle typos. I plan to publish this weekend.

I’ve completed all rounds of edits and rewrites on The Bookie: Waldman Investigations, Book 2... except for the read aloud. This part will take a few days, depending on other tasks I need to complete. I plan to publish by the end of this month.

I jumped online to research a bit more about Patreon and ended up working a few hours to get my page ready. I then wrote my first post and shared a flash fiction story with the public in case someone wanted to check out my writing before deciding if they want to be a Patron. Then I realized no one could see it, so I ended up clicking “launch.” My Patreaon is now live! I plan to post 2 more flash fiction pieces and my first short story (and schedule the second one) by October 1. DZ’s first episode the last piece I need to post to fill my 4 tiers.

I’m wrapping up the last bit of the first episode of Desert Zydeco. Once it’s typed, it will be off to beta readers. I’ll work on the cover and have the rest of it set up for publication on Patreon.

I have ideas on how to rework “The Raid, Short Story Prequel to Waldman Investigations.” Once BF and TB are published, that vast time hole will be filled with TR and other projects.

Celebrations are right around the corner! BF, published within 2 days. TB, published within 7 days. DZ done and sent to beta readers within 7 days. TR… okay, no deadline set for that one, but “The Secret Gift,” my holiday short story does have a deadline of December 15. All this might be too close to call, but I can smell the elation of completion and celebration in the air like brine on the coast 🙂

New Release Coming Soon

It’s Often Not What I Think It Is

Photo by Michele Venne I just finished typing The Secret Gift. While writing, I'm so immersed in the story that I'm rarely a good judge for what is showing up on the page. My myopic view of the story, one scene or one description or one dialogue conversation at a...

Rediscovered Joy

Photo by Michele Venne When I started writing, I was awed by the feeling of joy at being in the flow as the words spilled easily onto the page. Forty titles later, I can say that each project had its ups and downs. No two were the same. And at times, I didn't feel the...
